Please welcome Anne as a returning judge.

DICK ROBERTS

Dick says his background is "pretty simple," as follows:  "In my twenties I was a film animator in Paris…I met Cartier Bresson who saw my photo work and encouraged me to continue in that direction.  Back in the states I was a live action filmmaker.  Worked on lots of documentaries.  Shot a lot of stills.  Recently started painting (water colors) and experimenting with digital cameras.  Most recent expo was at Arcadia Coffee Co. in Old Greenwich with large (30 x 40) photos taken from the front of a speeding train called ‘Fast Tracks.’ "

Please welcome Dick as a returning judge.

PHIL NELSON

Phil Nelson is a freelance photographer working out of Stamford, CT.  Phil’s work has been published in numerous magazines and web sites, and his large format fine art prints can be found on the walls of many corporate clients.  Phil spent much of his career working for Apple and Adobe Systems, and as an X-Rite Color Expert.  Phil has also delivered hundreds of color management seminars across US and Europe.  In 2007 he published The Photographer’s Guide to Color Management, and continues to contribute images to his stock agency, Aurora Photos in Portland, Maine.  Phil has also just completed recording online training for Adobe Lightroom for Total Training of Carlsbad, California.  Nelson’s images can be seen on his website, www.panelson.com.

Please welcome Phil as a first-time judge with us.
